Continuing the search to express all the emotions felt from my return home to Prince Edward Island, the From Above collection, created with acrylic paints, PEI sand, texture paste and gold leaf on canvas, explores an imagined view from the sky. A nurturing gaze, from an eye filled with wisdom, is watching over, in admiration. What would the observer have to say? What is represented through the one seeing? What language has been chosen to communicate with?

This collection of paintings was my first to be exposed at the Gallery Cafe & Bistro in Charlottetown.
